B. Alan Wallace har avlyst sin Europatur i sommer, og det planlagte kurset med ham på KTL i månedsskiftet juni – juli blir avlyst. Men vi kan glede oss over at han ønsker å komme tilbake neste år.
B. Alan Wallace, Ph.D er en dynamisk foreleser, progressiv tenker og en av de mest produktive forfatterne og oversetterne av tibetansk buddhisme i Vesten. Han søker kontinuerlig innovative måter å integrere buddhistisk kontemplativ praksis med Vestlig vitenskap for å fremme studiet av sinnet.
Dr. Wallace, en stipendiat og utøver av buddhisme siden 1970, har siden 1976 undervist i buddhistisk teori og meditasjon over hele verden. Etter å ha viet 14 år til trening som tibetansk buddhistisk munk, ordinert av HH Dalai Lama, fortsatte han med å studier i fysikk og vitenskapsfilosofi ved Amherst College og tok en doktorgrad i religiøse studier ved Stanford. Med sin unike bakgrunn bringer Alan dyp erfaring og anvendte ferdigheter til utfordringen med å integrere tradisjonell indo-tibetansk buddhisme med den moderne verden.

B.Alan Wallace has cancelled his teachings in Europe this summer and his visit at KTL in june is cancelled.
We can rejoice that he wants to come back next year.
B. Alan Wallace, Ph. D is a dynamic lecturer, progressive scholar, and one of the most prolific writers and translators of Tibetan Buddhism in the West. He continually seeks innovative ways to integrate Buddhist contemplative practices with Western science to advance the study of the mind.
Dr. Wallace, a scholar and practitioner of Buddhism since 1970, has taught Buddhist theory and meditation worldwide since 1976. Having devoted fourteen years to training as a Tibetan Buddhist monk, ordained by H. H. the Dalai Lama, he went on to earn an undergraduate degree in physics and the philosophy of science at Amherst College and a doctorate in religious studies at Stanford. With his unique background, Alan brings deep experience and applied skills to the challenge of integrating traditional Indo-Tibetan Buddhism with the modern world.
