We are very happy to welcome Do Tulku Rinpoche back to the Karma Tashi Ling Buddhist Center in Oslo, Norway. He will teach there from October 25 to 27.
Do Tulku Rinpoche completed 11 years of training in Buddhist philosophy, practice, and debate at the Dzongsar Khyentse Chökyi Lodrö Institute and graduated with the title "Acharya" (Lopön). At 17, he was recognized by H.H. Sakya Gongma Trichen Rinpoche as the reincarnation of the 6th Raktrul Rinpoche. He is highly regarded internationally for his interactive, unconventional, and humorous approach to teaching Buddhis and for his extensive knowledge. Rinpoche visited Oslo for the first time in the fall of 2023, to the great delight of all who attended his courses. The teaching is in English.
On Friday, Rinpoche will hold a public lecture on compassion (karuna in Sanskrit). On Saturday, the theme is the Diamond Sutra (Vajracchedikasūtra), which, along with the Heart Sutra, is one of the two most well-known shortened versions of the Great Sutra on the Perfection of Wisdom (Prajñāpāramitāsūtra). On Sunday, Rinpoche will teach on "Parting from the Four Attachments" – a four-line instruction said to have been given to Sachen Kunga Nyingpo (1092–1158) by the bodhisattva Mañjuśrī.
Time and venue: Friday 6-8 pm, Saturday and Sunday 11 am–5 pm, Karma Tashi Ling Buddhist Center.
